A couple of weeks ago I came across an old friend on Facebook. We had gone to high school together and although we were very close then.. 2,000 miles can cause people to lose touch. It's been great chatting with him and catching up. Then, yesterday I posted a status update about my need to make a new friend. A new Graphic Designer as a Profession kind of friend. Little did I realize.. I have an old Graphic Designer as a Profession kind of friend!
I want to DIY on the invitations rather than shelling out a whole bunch of money on something that.. lets face.. most people lose anyway. At least I know I do. Any wedding that Matt and I attend.. by the time the actual wedding comes around.. I have, without a doubt, lost the invitation. Then I'm on the phone with friends trying to find out.. what time is it? Where at again? How do I get there? etc. I'd rather spend the money else where.
Anyway.. Greg (my graphic design as a profession friend) is going to custom design our invitations as a wedding gift for us! This makes the DIY process such a cinch.
I can not begin to express how excited I am about this!
