It's like jumping off a cliff.. but with jesus!

My mom came in town for a weekend full of wedding planning! First stop? Purchase our Bridesmaids Dresses. You walk in.. swipe your credit card.. and walk out. Easy enough right? WRONG!

We're getting married at Star Hill Ranch.. For those who don't know of it.. it's a very rustic venue with 'Old Town Texas' charm.

I selected the colors of serene blue and chocolate brown and plan to have sunflowers. A few months back the ladies all met me up at David's Bridal. I pretty much said.. this is the color.. you pick the dress!Last month we were told they will be discontinueing the color 'Serene Blue'. WHAT?! My wedding isn't for 8 months (8 months 1 week and 3 days to be exact)! So I suddenly found myself in a jam. There were too many difficulties with ordering my color. But do I really want to change it now? No. Do I have an option? I thought I did.. but apparently not.

We show up at David's Bridal thinking we can place the order now and we will just have to get the dresses early.. it's the only way I can get my color right? Wrong again! So here we are.. trying to find a new dress. I ended up picking this:I spent most of the day in panick mode fearing my ladies would look like table linens (I was planning to have chocolate brown table cloths..) and suddenly contemplating every aspect of plans I had made for our wedding. Do I change my flowers? What about the invitations? Will the Centerpieces still look good? How do I incorporate more blue? What about the girls shoes? Or their Jewelry? OMG what color will the guys wear?? There I sat.. on the floor at David's Bridal using clutch purses as color swatches trying to determine what to do and what colors would work.. suddenly steam began spouting out of my ears.

Game night. That's what I need. A nice relaxing (4 hour) session of Catch Phrase with friends.

Side Note: Have you ever played? My honey and I LOVE this game. Half the time I keep it in my (suitcase) purse. We play it all the time. It's been a big hit at parties as well. Drunken Catch Phrase is HILARIOUS!

Once I was able to take my mind off of all the planning.. I came back to it with a fresh perspective. After 6 months of planning.. I changed so much in a matter of an hour. Now that I have had a chance to let it all absorb.. I am SO excited about the changes. I like the new dresses better.. they are more affordable for the girls.. and they can wear them again much easier! Plus... they have pockets! I think I want one...
